K-pop group ITZY showcases their strong bond with their latest album, 'Girls Will Be Girls'.

On the 9th, ITZY held a press conference at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their new mini-album 'Girls Will Be Girls'.

Debuting in February 2019, ITZY marks their 7th year together. With this new album, they convey the message that their unity is stronger than ever. Fans can expect to see the solid camaraderie among the members through this release.

When asked why they chose this theme for their comeback in their 7th year, Yeji explained, "We thought about what new aspects we could show and what new messages we could convey. This time, we wanted to emphasize the resonance of 'us'." She added, "We hope to showcase our solid teamwork, and I believe our fans, MIDZY, will appreciate our strong friendship and solidarity."

The members shared some anecdotes from their comeback preparations. Yeji said, "Just yesterday, we had a tight performance routine. If we're not careful, we might bump into each other. Yesterday, Yuna got hit by Lia's elbow in the practice room. We laughed it off, apologized, and continued practicing with a cheerful spirit."

As they reach their 7th year, attention is also on their contract renewal. Chaeryeong commented, "It's hard to believe we're already discussing contract renewals in our 7th year. We're in talks with the company, and we hope to share good news soon."

Chaeryeong showcased her archery skills in the music video. Lia mentioned, "We filmed scenes in natural settings abroad, and the members also tried action scenes. We did special makeup and styling to match the outdoor vibe, and our outfits were fierce and blended with nature." Chaeryeong proudly added, "I actually shot a bow. During 'Idol Star Athletics Championships', I scored around 4 points, but the directors praised me this time."

The trailer for their new song, released ahead of their comeback, featured JYP, which became a hot topic. Ryujin shared, "The director we worked with suggested the idea, and when we asked PD-nim if he could appear, he readily agreed. He also created a great atmosphere on set." She continued, "PD-nim gave us a lot of feedback on our song and choreography. He said the song was great and encouraged us to showcase our unique energy, which we focused on during preparations."

On the same day ITZY released their new album, other groups like KISS OF LIFE, QWER, and IZNA also made their comebacks. Yeji commented, "We're enjoying the activities together with other groups." She added, "We're looking forward to the activities of other senior and junior groups, and we hope to show our best as well."

Yeji highlighted the lyrics "Our siren echoes in the world, awakening the dormant heat" as the theme of this activity. She said, "These lyrics show ITZY's unity and our ambition. We hope this song resonates with the world under the name of ITZY. We want many people to see our performance and feel the impact on stage." Lia added, "This song contains a lot of charisma that ITZY hasn't shown before. We hope to earn the title 'Charismatic ITZY'."

The new album includes five tracks: the title track 'Girls Will Be Girls', 'Kiss & Tell', 'Locked N Loaded', 'Promise', and 'Walk'. The title track, sharing the album's name, features dynamic beats and impressive vocal harmonies.

ITZY's new mini-album 'Girls Will Be Girls' was released at 6 PM today.
