ITZY, the popular K-pop group, has announced that they are currently in discussions with their agency, JYP Entertainment, regarding contract renewal.
On November 9, ITZY held a press conference at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their new mini-album, 'Girls Will Be Girls.'
Debuting in February 2019, ITZY is now in their seventh year as a group. With their new album, they aim to showcase the strengthened unity that comes from being together for so long.
When asked about the timing of their comeback, Yeji explained, "We thought about what new aspects we could show and what new messages we could convey. This time, we wanted to emphasize the resonance of 'us' as a group."
She added, "I believe we can demonstrate the solid teamwork we've built. I think our fans, MIDZY, will appreciate our strong friendship and solidarity."
Regarding the contract renewal discussions, Chaeryeong stated, "It's hard to believe we're already discussing contract renewal in our seventh year. We are coordinating with the company and hope to share good news soon."
The new album features five tracks, including the title track 'Girls Will Be Girls,' 'Kiss & Tell,' 'Locked N Loaded,' 'Promise,' and 'Walk.' The title track is noted for its dynamic beat and impressive vocal harmonies.
ITZY's new mini-album 'Girls Will Be Girls' will be released at 6 PM today.
