Actor Park Sung-hoon has officially returned to the spotlight with 'Squid Game 3' following a controversy over explicit content. He appeared with a bright demeanor at the official event.

On the 9th, a production presentation for Netflix's original series 'Squid Game 3' was held at Seoul Dragon City in Cheongpa-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. 'Squid Game 3' follows the story of Gi-hun, who re-enters the game with his own agenda and loses his closest friend, the Front Man who hides his identity within the game, and the final fate of the participants who survived the brutal game. The series, which began with Season 1 in September 2021 and continued with Season 2 in December 2024, reaches its conclusion with Season 3.

Park Sung-hoon takes on the role of Hyun-joo, who experiences setbacks after participating in a rebellion. He explained, "Hyun-joo's fundamentally righteous and altruistic nature won't change. He will show a stronger and more impressive side to survive and protect the bonds formed with fellow participants."
Park Sung-hoon Returns to 'Squid Game 3' Amid Controversy

Park Sung-hoon faced controversy when he posted a parody of 'Squid Game' with explicit content on his social media during the release of Season 2. This led to a cautious approach in his career, including stepping down from a drama he was set to appear in.

Additionally, Park Gyu-young sparked controversy by posting a potentially spoiler-filled photo on social media. Director Hwang commented, "It was naturally surprising. I asked why it happened." He continued, "Everyone makes mistakes. We can't dwell on them forever. Mistakes are mistakes, and the past is the past. We should move forward. I consider it a minor incident." He added, "Some might have been upset by the spoilers, but they won't significantly affect your enjoyment. You'll find the spoilers weren't a big deal." He concluded, "We can't legally prevent such incidents, but those who made mistakes have likely suffered enough and will ensure it doesn't happen again. We won't take additional measures for prevention."

'Squid Game 3' will be available on Netflix starting the 27th.
