Former Wonder Girls member Sohee recently featured singer John Park on her YouTube channel 'An Sohee' in a video titled 'Loving All Kinds of Noodles... A Bowl of Cold Udon with Noodle Expert John Park.'
In the video, Sohee mentioned that the hot weather made her crave cold udon, prompting her to invite John Park. The two first met while working on the radio show 'Turn Up the Volume.' John Park expressed his gratitude, saying, "It's nice to be invited for a meal instead of just saying it as a greeting."
Sohee noted, "Everyone knows that John Park declared he graduated from cold noodles," and added, "That's why I prepared cold udon, which is similar." John Park responded, "But I really love noodles," and added, "I also like cold udon." The duo carefully read the menu before ordering their udon. John Park commented, "You can learn a lot about a person's taste and style through what they eat. If your eating preferences align, other things often do too."
The conversation then shifted to YouTube content. Sohee asked, "I noticed you have content in English. Can you translate cute expressions like 'Please give me a portion for two that looks like one'?" John Park explained, "In America, things are more straightforward. If you say something like that, they'd probably respond with 'Then order a large' or 'Order two.'"
John Park added, "The expression 'give generously' is a unique privilege and sentiment found in our country." He also noted, "In the U.S., portions are generally large, so there's rarely a need to say that." Listening to this, Sohee remarked, "You really seem to love food." John Park agreed, saying, "Yes, food is a passion for me, just like music."
