N.Flying Embraces 'Idol Band' Label with Pride as They Release Second Studio Album 'Everlasting'

N.Flying, the South Korean band, has shared their thoughts on being labeled as an 'idol band'.

On November 2nd, N.Flying held an interview at the FNC Entertainment headquarters in Gangnam, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their second studio album, 'Everlasting'.

N.Flying is part of FNC Entertainment, which is known for producing pioneering 'idol bands' like FT Island and CNBLUE. Since their debut, N.Flying has carried the 'idol band' label.

While there are certain stereotypes associated with the term 'idol band', N.Flying expressed their desire to uphold this label. Lee Seung-hyub stated, "Just a few days ago, during a live performance, the MCs introduced us as an 'idol band'. I believe this label is still fitting, and I want to maintain it. We aspire to be a band that excels in music, sings sincerely, and plays instruments passionately."

As the youngest member, Seo Dong-sung, turns 30 this year, all members of N.Flying are now in their 30s. Kim Jae-hyun humorously remarked, "It's flattering that we're still seen as idols even though all of us are over 30." He added, "The term 'idol' carries a strong sense of being a role model. If someone starts playing drums after watching me, or if I can become an inspiration, it would be incredibly rewarding."

N.Flying's second studio album, 'Everlasting', features twelve tracks spanning various genres, from rock ballads to alternative pop rock.

The title track, 'Everlasting', is highlighted by an acoustic piano intro reminiscent of Britpop, marching drums, and a striking guitar solo. The song conveys the message, "I want to remain unchanged in your heart." The emotional progression built by vocalists Lee Seung-hyub and Yoo Hwe-seung, combined with the band's authentic sound, creates a harmonious blend.

N.Flying's 'Everlasting' was released on October 28th.
