Sung Han-bin and Zhang Hao, who captivated audiences on Mnet's 'Boys Planet,' have emerged as versatile stars two years later. Sung Han-bin has become the new face of 'Street Fighter,' following in the footsteps of Kang Daniel, while Zhang Hao has showcased his presence by attending global fashion shows alongside Lee Jung-jae.
The first episode of 'World of Street Woman Fighter' (WSWF) aired on the 27th of last month, marking a new chapter in the 'Street Fighter' series. Sung Han-bin, a member of ZEROBASEONE, was chosen as the MC for this season. Taking over from Kang Daniel, who led the program for four years since 2021, Sung Han-bin received praise for his smooth hosting skills from the very first episode.
During the 2023 'Boys Planet' broadcast, Sung Han-bin maintained the top position throughout but debuted in second place after handing over the first place to Zhang Hao in the final episode. Despite not being the center, he plays a pivotal role as the leader of the group. Even though he is neither the oldest nor has prior debut experience, he has become the central figure leading the eight-member group.
In 'WSWF,' Sung Han-bin stood out with his intuitive reactions from his dance career, clear communication despite his gentle tone, and thorough understanding of the program. Notably, in the 'Ability Test' video released on YouTube's 'The Dance' channel, he answered all questions correctly, proving how diligently he prepared.
Producer Choi Jung-nam expressed admiration for Sung Han-bin at the production presentation, saying, "It's not easy to remember foreign participants' names, but he memorized all names and lines perfectly." Additionally, Sung Han-bin showcased his musical talent by singing the OST 'CHAMPION (Prod. THE HUB),' proving himself as an artist beyond just a host.
He has also maintained consistent communication with fans. A music fan praised, "Since his debut, Sung Han-bin greets fans every morning and night. He informs them whenever content is released and monitors it live with fans. I've never seen an idol like this. He approaches with sincerity, making it hard to be interested in other idols."
Zhang Hao, who shares top popularity with Sung Han-bin in ZEROBASEONE, is also gaining attention. One year older than Sung Han-bin, Zhang Hao consistently ranked high from the first to the final episode of 'Boys Planet,' becoming the first foreigner to win a survival program.
Zhang Hao, a Chinese national, entered Fujian Normal University's music education department as the top student but moved to Korea with the dream of becoming a K-pop idol. As a music major, he also has the advantage of violin skills.
In his third year since debut, Zhang Hao is venturing into acting. He will play the role of Wei Lin, a Taiwanese exchange student, in the upcoming MBC drama 'To the Moon,' set to air in the second half of the year. He has also been selected as a solo model for a beauty brand and is building his career by attending events like the 'Gucci 2026 Cruise Fashion Show' with Lee Jung-jae.
Zhang Hao's efforts are also evident in his language skills. During 'Boys Planet,' he spoke somewhat awkward Korean, but now he can converse naturally. He once stated, "It's irresponsible to pursue K-pop without speaking Korean," showing his determination.
While Sung Han-bin and Zhang Hao each have distinct strengths, they are said to create greater synergy together. With ZEROBASEONE's contract set to expire next year, fans are increasingly vocal about wanting to see more of their collaboration.
