Actors Jung Kyung-ho, Seol In-ah, and Cha Hak-yeon come together as the team 'Moo-jin's' in the MBC drama 'Labor Attorney No Moo-jin'. With their previous drama 'Bunny and the Brothers' struggling with low ratings, all eyes are on the chemistry of Moo-jin's team to see what synergy they can create.
On the 30th, the production presentation for 'Labor Attorney No Moo-jin' was held online. The event was attended by actors Jung Kyung-ho, Seol In-ah, Cha Hak-yeon, and director Im Soon-rye.
'Labor Attorney No Moo-jin' is a comedic drama that follows labor attorney No Moo-jin (played by Jung Kyung-ho), who can see ghosts, as he resolves labor issues.
Jung Kyung-ho takes on the role of No Moo-jin, a labor attorney who sees ghosts. Jung expressed, "I decided to join immediately because of my trust in the director, writer, and fellow actors. Playing a labor attorney was quite different from my own life, but it was exciting and fun to portray a new character."
He added, "No Moo-jin is not a character overflowing with a sense of justice from the start; he gradually develops a sense of duty through various incidents. I worked hard to convincingly portray this growth. Through this drama, I learned a lot about the unfamiliar profession of labor attorneys and was recently honored with an award from the Labor Attorney Association, for which I am very grateful."
Seol In-ah plays Na Hee-joo, No Moo-jin's sister-in-law and the practical leader of Moo-jin's team. Seol described her character as "not just a simple and easygoing person but rather bold and daring. Initially, she has a calculative side, trying to make money using her brother-in-law, but she gradually learns and grows." She added, "The lack of a special backstory for Hee-joo was actually appealing. I focused on portraying her bold and daring nature in a way that wouldn't be off-putting."
Cha Hak-yeon, who plays the role of former journalist and creator Go Kyun-woo, shared, "I was quite shy when acting as a YouTuber. My ears turned red when I first had to greet the camera in a video. To perform well, I bought lights and a tripod for rehearsals at home, striving for a natural performance."
Director Im Soon-rye, taking on her first drama project, said, "I chose this project because I loved the subject and script. Although some warned me that drama filming could be tough, saying 'you might lose a few teeth,' it wasn't as difficult as I expected." She continued, "Apart from the longer filming period compared to movies, I didn't find many differences. Thanks to the great staff and actors, filming was comfortable."
Director Im concluded, "'Labor Attorney No Moo-jin' tackles the heavy subject of industrial accidents in reality while incorporating fantasy elements of seeing ghosts. We worked hard to balance comedy, fantasy, and reality, so we hope for your interest and love."
'Labor Attorney No Moo-jin' premieres on the 30th at 9:50 PM.
