EXO member and solo artist Baekhyun has proven his global popularity with the release of his new mini album.
According to his agency INB100, Baekhyun's fifth mini album 'Essence of Reverie' and its title track 'Elevator' simultaneously topped the iTunes Top Albums and Top Songs charts as of 3 PM on the 20th.
The mini album 'Essence of Reverie' achieved the number one spot on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 24 regions, including Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Indonesia, the Philippines, Poland, Singapore, and Hungary. The title track 'Elevator' also secured the top position on the Top Songs chart in 14 regions, such as Colombia, Laos, Paraguay, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam.
'Essence of Reverie' explores the boundary between reality and ideals, symbolically expressing Baekhyun's reflections on his past achievements and future aspirations. The title track 'Elevator' romantically portrays the heart of a loved one as an 'elevator,' establishing Baekhyun's unique genre and receiving positive responses from global fans.
Coinciding with the album release, Baekhyun's first solo world tour 'Reverie' is set to kick off in June with a sold-out show in Seoul. The tour will span 29 cities across South America, North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia, further cementing his global appeal.
Baekhyun plans to continue various activities with his mini album 'Essence of Reverie' and the title track 'Elevator.'
