BOYNEXTDOOR's latest album has achieved a remarkable milestone, surpassing one million sales just five days after its release on the 13th.
According to Hanteo Chart on the 18th, BOYNEXTDOOR's mini 4th album 'No Genre' has recorded a cumulative sales of 1,074,316 copies (including three versions combined) as of the 17th.
This achievement significantly surpasses the first-week sales of their previous mini 3rd album '19.99', which sold 759,156 copies. With their popularity soaring through live performances and music shows, further increases in album sales are anticipated.
BOYNEXTDOOR's debut single initially sold around 110,000 copies. Their subsequent mini 1st and 2nd albums sold approximately 450,000 and 530,000 copies, respectively, showcasing a textbook example of steady growth.
The mini 3rd album '19.99' marked BOYNEXTDOOR's first million-seller, entering the Billboard 200 at number 40 on the chart dated September 28, 2024. It took nearly a month and a half for this album to surpass one million sales.
The new release 'No Genre' has received a warm reception both in physical and digital formats. The album exceeded one million sales in just five days, and the title track 'I Feel Good' quickly climbed to the top ranks of Melon's 'Top 100' chart the day after its release. Alongside the digital single 'I LOVE YOU Today' released in January, the group is enjoying dual popularity.
The global response is equally enthusiastic. 'No Genre' topped Japan's Oricon 'Daily Album Ranking' for two consecutive days (14th and 15th) and dominated China's largest music streaming platform QQ Music's 'Rising Chart' (as of the 14th) with its title and included tracks, signaling a strong performance.
Since their debut, BOYNEXTDOOR has consistently participated in their music production, infusing their unique emotions into their songs. This 'life-oriented music' resonates with listeners, and their live performances with handheld microphones, witty choreography, and broad musical spectrum have fueled their rising popularity.
The group's chemistry is also evident in their self-produced content, which is a key factor in their popularity. Episodes from series like 'WHAT? DOOR!' and 'WITH BOYNEXTDOOR' have surpassed one million views on YouTube.
BOYNEXTDOOR plans to continue performing 'I Feel Good' on various music shows. Additionally, the members will actively promote their comeback by appearing on programs such as MBC's 'It's a Relief If You Rest', SBS Power FM's 'Cultwo Show', 'Park So-hyun's Love Game', and KBS Cool FM's 'Park Myung-soo's Radio Show'.
