NewJeans member Hae-rin expressed her heartfelt gratitude to fans who celebrated her birthday.
On the 15th, Hae-rin took to the Instagram story of the 'mhdhh_friends' account, exclaiming, "Hi, it's Hae-rin. The letters are truly overwhelming... I was genuinely surprised!" Her message was filled with excitement and appreciation.
Hae-rin continued, "To capture my surprise, emotion, tenderness, and gratitude, I had no choice but to express it this way. There are moments when you can't quite grasp how to convey such a vast and vague emotion, and right now is exactly that moment, so I expressed it without hesitation," she said, showing her deep appreciation for the fans' love on her birthday.
She added, "Writing letters takes a lot of energy, so I'm thankful for taking the time to write them, thankful for celebrating someone else's birthday like this, and thankful for supporting me quietly for any reason during these difficult times. It's truly a series of surprises."
Hae-rin concluded, "Today, I find it quite amazing myself. Thanks to you, I think I can have a pleasant day," expressing her gratitude once again.
Meanwhile, NewJeans, who began their independent activities last November, announced their group name as 'NJZ' in February. In response, their agency, ADOR, filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of their exclusive contract and requested an injunction to prohibit the group from signing advertising contracts.
In March, the Seoul Central District Court granted the injunction, and NewJeans' objection was dismissed. As a result of the court's decision, NewJeans announced an indefinite suspension of activities under the name NJZ and filed an appeal.
NewJeans and ADOR are scheduled for the second hearing of the exclusive contract lawsuit on the 5th of next month.
