MEOVV Celebrates First Music Show Win with 'HANDS UP'

MEOVV, the rising K-pop group, expressed their excitement after clinching their first music show win.

On the 12th, MEOVV held a showcase at SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their debut EP 'MY EYES OPEN VVIDE'.

The group achieved their first music show victory with the pre-release single 'HANDS UP'. The track is a Brazilian funk genre song, characterized by its fast-paced, vibrant rhythm and unique synth sounds, coupled with an addictive melody and dazzling performance.

Narin shared her thoughts, saying, "I'm incredibly grateful and happy that so many people loved 'HANDS UP', a song we prepared with a lot of affection. It's even more meaningful to achieve our first win with a song that conveys the message of boldly forging our own path."

When asked about the pressure of their success, Ga-won responded, "Rather than feeling pressured, I'm actually thrilled. Thanks to the love for 'HANDS UP', we were able to carry the energy from that activity into showcasing 'DROP TOP'."

The title track 'DROP TOP' is a pop song infused with rock elements, starting with a calm mood and building into an upbeat tempo. It creatively portrays the journey of moving forward with one's own perspective. Member Ga-won contributed to the lyrics, enhancing the song's quality. The new album includes a total of six tracks, featuring both the title track and the pre-release single.

MEOVV's debut EP 'MY EYES OPEN VVIDE' is set to release at 6 PM today.
