South Korean singer IU is making her much-anticipated return to the music scene this month.

According to an exclusive report by TenAsia on the 12th, IU is gearing up for a comeback in May, marking her first album release in a year and three months since her mini-album 'The Winning' dropped in February last year.

The music video for her new song will feature a special cameo by singer and actor Cha Eun-woo. The duo previously collaborated for a jewelry brand photoshoot in February, and fans are eager to see how their chemistry translates into the melody and storyline of the new music video. The visual synergy between IU and Cha Eun-woo is already drawing significant attention.

Meanwhile, IU has recently been active as an actress. She starred in the Netflix series 'You Have Done Well,' which concluded in March, playing dual roles as Ae-soon and Geum-myung. Her next acting project is already lined up; she will star alongside Byun Woo-seok in the MBC drama '21st Century Grand Lady,' set to air in the first half of next year.

Cha Eun-woo is also busy with various projects. He has been confirmed to star in the new Netflix series 'The Wonderfuls' and is currently filming. Additionally, he will be performing with his group ASTRO at their fourth solo concert at Incheon Inspire Arena this June.
