K-pop group KiiiKiii (members Jiyu, Isol, Sui, Haeum, and Kiya) surprised fans with a special gift in celebration of Children's Day.
On May 5th, KiiiKiii released a surprise video titled 'KiiiKiii 'I DO ME' Dance Practice (Children's Day ver.)' on their official YouTube channel.
Prior to the video's release, KiiiKiii shared childhood photos and recreated images of the members on their official social media. The Children's Day version of the 'I DO ME' dance video became a delightful gift for their fans, known as 'Tiki'.
In the video, KiiiKiii members donned frilly skirts and headbands, exuding cuteness while perfectly recreating their childhood photos. They presented a fresh take on 'I DO ME' with a Children's Day theme.
The choreography included playful dialogues like "What class are you in?" "I'm in the chick class," capturing the essence of joyful children. The performance added a playful twist to the signature dance moves of 'I DO ME', such as the eye-catching games and tag, showcasing KiiiKiii's charming and lively appeal.
'I DO ME' is the title track from KiiiKiii's debut album 'UNCUT GEM', a pop dance song expressing a confident girl's determination to trust her instincts and live boldly. The song highlights the members' spirited charm and harmonious teamwork, which was evident in the Children's Day dance video.
Following the release of the 'I DO ME' music video, KiiiKiii quickly rose to the top of YouTube's trending music videos and reached a peak position of 3rd on Melon's HOT 100 chart within 30 days of release, maintaining a strong presence in the top 100. They also secured their first music show win on MBC's 'Show! Music Core'.
Recently, KiiiKiii has topped the rookie idol group brand reputation rankings for three consecutive months, from March to May.
KiiiKiii plans to continue engaging with fans through various activities. On May 11th, they will perform at 'KCON JAPAN 2025' in Chiba, Japan.
