Actor Kwon Da-ham is proving his versatility across various genres.
Kwon Da-ham, who left a strong impression on viewers with Netflix series 'D.P.' and 'A Killer Paradox,' continues his momentum this year. His diverse range of works includes 'Karma,' and films 'LOST' and 'The Old Woman With The Knife.'
In the Netflix series 'Karma,' Kwon transformed into a character with a dual nature, leaving a memorable mark as a man involved in a drunk driving accident. His character is blackmailed by a loan shark, played by Lee Hee-jun, and later reappears as an insurance examiner, showcasing a surprising twist.
In the film 'LOST,' Kwon plays Johan, a thug who demands money from a wandering woman, Mi-ji, played by Ha Yoon-kyung, under the pretense of providing her shelter. His portrayal of Johan's sleazy and materialistic nature has been praised for its raw realism.
In 'The Old Woman With The Knife,' released on the 30th, Kwon takes on the role of Jung Yoon-seop, who hires a killer, played by Yeon Woo-jin. His brief yet intense appearance, especially in a tense confrontation with Lee Hye-young's character, captivates the audience.
Previously, Kwon won the Actor of the Year award at the 26th Busan International Film Festival for his lead role in 'That Winter, I,' where he portrayed the poignant life of a poor civil service exam student. He has steadily built his filmography with roles in Netflix's 'A Killer Paradox,' 'D.P.' Season 2, dramas like 'The Law Cafe,' 'Prison Playbook,' and the film 'Next Sohee,' showcasing his solid acting prowess.
Additionally, Kwon is set to engage with audiences as the lead in 'God Complex,' a short film selected for the Korean Cinema section at the Jeonju International Film Festival. He will also star in the comedic office short-form drama 'Manager Ha of the Distribution Company,' set against the backdrop of a film distribution company.
