Teen Top's Niel has directly addressed the controversy surrounding his military service.
On the 18th, Niel held a press interview at a cafe in Gangnam, Seoul, to commemorate the release of his fourth mini-album 'SHE'.
During the interview, Niel proactively brought up the topic of his military service. He stated, "In 2021, I was classified as a social service agent due to personal reasons. I was waiting for enlistment, but last year, my status was changed to wartime labor service, resulting in an exemption."
This situation mirrors that of actor Na In-woo, who was reclassified as wartime labor service after waiting for three years. According to Article 65, Paragraph 9 of the Military Service Act, if a social service agent candidate waits for more than three years, they are reclassified to ensure timely social integration.
Niel is making a comeback with his mini-album 'SHE' after approximately two and a half years. The title track 'SHE' features a groovy rhythm and soulful guitar, with Niel's deep vocals flowing freely with the emotions. The melody, which alternates between restrained and explosive expressions, adds to the poignant atmosphere.
The new album includes a total of six tracks: the title track 'SHE', 'Sapé', 'The Meaning Within Love', 'If you're the ocean', 'What's the Excuse for Love?', and 'SHE (Inst.)'.
The music and music video for Niel's fourth mini-album 'SHE' will be released on the 22nd at 6 PM.
