ENHYPEN, the group that set Coachella ablaze, is set to make a comeback this June with a new album. This release comes approximately seven months after their previous work, 'ROMANCE: UNTOLD -daydream-'.
The group, consisting of members Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki, made a surprise announcement on the global fan platform Weverse live stream right after their Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival performance on the 13th. They revealed, "We have some news. We are making a comeback on June 5th." According to their agency, Belift Lab, ENHYPEN has been working on their sixth mini-album while preparing for their Coachella performance.
ENHYPEN has shown continuous growth through their five series: 'BORDER', 'DIMENSION', 'MANIFESTO', 'BLOOD', and 'ROMANCE'. The narrative follows a boy crossing the BORDER, facing a multi-dimensional world of confusion (DIMENSION), finding his own answers, and making a declaration (MANIFESTO) to his generation. The story continues with the realization of a fate-bound community connected by BLOOD and sharing a ROMANCE with 'you' from an opposite world.
Last year, ENHYPEN experienced significant growth. Their second full album 'ROMANCE: UNTOLD' achieved 'triple million-seller' status, and 'ROMANCE: UNTOLD -daydream-' set a new record for the highest first-week sales of a K-pop repackage album with 1,406,926 copies sold.
In 2023 alone, ENHYPEN sold over 5.45 million albums, ranking them third among K-pop artists. This success led them to achieve the highest ranking for a K-pop artist on the '2024 Global Album Sales Chart' and '2024 Global Album Chart' released by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
ENHYPEN's momentum continues this year. They recently released the digital single 'Loose' and appeared on the popular U.S. talk show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'. On the 13th, they made their debut at the U.S.'s largest music festival, Coachella, with an energetic performance and live show. ENHYPEN is set to perform again at Coachella on the 19th (local time).
