KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' celebrates its 700th episode with a special appearance by actor Kim Jae-wook, who shares his close connection with veteran artist Kim Chang-wan.
Airing on the 12th, the '700th Episode Special-7 Legends: The Next Wave' marks a significant milestone in the 14-year history of 'Immortal Songs.' This episode features legendary bands such as Choi Baek-ho, Kim Chang-wan, YB, and Jaurim, creating a wave of excitement and cheers from the audience. Special guests Roy Kim, Touched, and Kim Jae-wook add to the star-studded lineup.
Kim Jae-wook, the only actor guest in this special, takes the stage due to his bond with Kim Chang-wan. Reflecting on their past collaboration when he was 25, Kim Jae-wook expresses his admiration, stating, “Kim Chang-wan is my summer and youth.” He further appreciates Kim Chang-wan's leadership, saying, “He was the elder on set, naturally uniting us without many words.” Adding humor, Kim Jae-wook jokes, “He taught me more about drinking than acting or music.”
Shin Dong-yup shares a heartfelt message from Kim Chang-wan to the 'Immortal Songs' production team, likening the show's journey to Sisyphus pushing a rock uphill. The 3MCs respond warmly, promising, “We will continue with you beyond 1000 episodes.”
On the 700th episode stage, Kim Chang-wan performs his iconic songs 'Youth' and 'Rascal,' evoking nostalgia and earning a standing ovation from the audience, including his admirer Kim Jae-wook.
