Despite a large gathering of reporters at the airport eager to cover NewJeans' departure, the group managed to leave discreetly with the help of security personnel.
The five members of NewJeans have been embroiled in a legal battle since November of last year, claiming that their agency, ADOR, violated their exclusive contract, leading them to pursue independent activities. ADOR, on the other hand, has maintained that the contract remains valid and filed for an injunction to prohibit the group from signing new advertising contracts and to preserve the agency's status. On the 21st, the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Division 50, led by Chief Judge Kim Sang-hoon, ruled in favor of ADOR's request.
