Meenoi shared the news on her official account, stating, "My contract with AOMG has ended. Thank you to everyone who has been with me." This announcement comes approximately a year after the so-called 'no-show' controversy.
In February of last year, Meenoi caused concern among fans when she unexpectedly broke down in tears during a live broadcast, displaying erratic behavior. Following the broadcast, Meenoi admitted, "Everyone lives within the legally defined boundaries, and when I looked at myself in front of that, I should have acted with a certain level of humility, but I failed to do so, or I committed a sin that could be perceived that way," raising further questions.
The controversy escalated when it was revealed that Meenoi had failed to show up for a skincare product advertisement shoot, for which she had a contract worth 200 million KRW (approximately 220 million KRW including taxes). In the process of explaining the situation, Meenoi blamed AOMG for the no-show, leading to a public dispute over the truth. Her irresponsible handling of the situation and false explanations were also exposed.
