Min Hee-jin Reappointed as Internal Director at ADOR Amidst Leadership Dispute
Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of ADOR, has been reappointed as an internal director.

According to the music industry on the 18th, the board of directors at ADOR held an extraordinary general meeting and passed the agenda to reappoint Min as a director on the 17th. Her new term as an internal director will begin on the 2nd of next month and last for three years.

Separate from her reappointment as an internal director, Min Hee-jin has been persistently demanding her reinstatement as CEO. However, the ADOR board agreed to extend her term as a director last month but refused to reinstate her as CEO.

Min Hee-jin has filed an injunction with the court, insisting that HYBE should reappoint her as CEO.

She has been advocating for the unification of management and production, asserting that she should be in the CEO position at ADOR.

In an interview with Japan's TV Asahi and ANN Comprehensive News YouTube channel on the 16th, Min explained, "I am currently neither a producer nor a CEO. It's an ambiguous situation with only the authority of an internal director, but I am continuing the projects I have been working on."

Min emphasized that her most important plan is to continue working with NewJeans, stating, "This dispute will be resolved one way or another. I will strive to achieve my plans to the fullest." She added, "I had already planned a world tour starting next year and had conceptualized the full album to be released early in the year. Who could have anticipated such an event?"

She also expressed her desire to resolve the situation quickly, saying, "I am discussing with the members, but the next steps are unclear, and I want to settle this situation soon."

In August, the ADOR board dismissed Min from her CEO position. At the time, ADOR's parent company, HYBE, explained, "The separation of production and management has been a consistent multi-label operation principle applied to all other labels, but ADOR was an exception where the CEO oversaw both production and management." Kim Joo-young, HYBE's Chief Human Resources Officer, was appointed as the CEO of ADOR.
