The film 'FIREFIGHTERS' has confirmed its theatrical release for December and unveiled its first poster.
'FIREFIGHTERS' depicts the story of firefighters who were dispatched with the sole mission of extinguishing a fire and rescuing everyone during the 2001 Hongje-dong fire disaster, despite the challenging conditions.
The released first poster features firefighters advancing through intense flames. The phrase 'Courage to Save' adds to the anticipation, sparking curiosity about how these fearless firefighters will be portrayed in the film as they battle the blaze to the very end.
Directed by Kwak Kyung-taek, known for capturing the authenticity of true stories, 'FIREFIGHTERS' is based on the real events of the 2001 fire in the Hongje-dong area. It tells the story of the Seobu Fire Station's response, highlighting the sweat and tears of firefighters who were deployed with the single goal of rescuing everyone amidst harsh conditions.
Starring Joo Won, Kwak Do-won, Yoo Jae-myung, and Lee Yoo-young, 'FIREFIGHTERS' will be released in theaters nationwide this December.
