Aespa's 'Supernova' selected as background music for Dubai's famous fountain show

Group aespa's new song 'Supernova' has become a hot topic after being selected as the background music for Dubai's water entertainment show 'IMAGINE Show'.

Espa's first full-length album double title song 'Supernova' will be used as background music for 'Imagine Show', a huge water entertainment show held at the Dubai Canal (Festival Bay) in front of Dubai Festival City Mall for one year from June 9 (local time). A launching event to commemorate this will be held on the 14th, so expectations are high.

'Imagine Show' is a tourist attraction in Dubai that was registered in the Guinness World Records as the world's largest water screen projection and permanent projection mapping upon its opening in 2016. It features a fountain show set to music, more than 70 color projectors, LED lights, lasers, and drones. An entertainment show using cutting-edge equipment provides a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view from the Dubai Canal to the exterior wall of a nearby hotel building.

Previously, EXO Suho's solo song 'Hurdle' was selected for the first time in K-pop, and this time, Aespa's 'Supernova' will be the first K-pop girl group song to be selected as the background music for 'Imagine Show' in Dubai. Next, along with Espa's global popularity, SM's powerful music IP power is once again realized.

Aespa is still at the top of the weekly charts of Melon, Genie, Bugs, etc. with this new song 'Supernova', even though it has been a month since its release. It has also topped the Circle weekly chart, including the global K-pop chart, digital chart, and streaming chart, for 3 weeks. It has won four awards in a row, and is proving its presence on various domestic and international charts, including the integrated K-pop chart of five music platforms under China's Tencent Music and the QQ Music overall and Korean music video charts for five consecutive weeks.

Aespa will hold its second world tour ‘2024 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK: PARALLEL LINE –’ starting in Seoul on the 29th and 30th, and will release its Japanese debut single ‘2024 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK: PARALLEL LINE –’ on the 3rd of next month. They release ‘Hot Mess’ and begin full-fledged global activities.
