It was confirmed that Espa Winter (real name Kim Min-jeong) is recovering in the hospital after undergoing pneumothorax surgery.
According to Ten Asia coverage on the 12th, Winter is currently recovering after undergoing pneumothorax surgery at a famous large hospital in Seoul on the 11th. Pneumothorax is a disease in which air or gas accumulates in the pleural space (a closed space within two layers of the pleura) due to a hole in the surface of the lung, which causes air to leak or flow in.
It is reported that Winter completed his schedule in Japan ahead of pneumothorax surgery. Espa departed for Japan on the 6th. Afterwards, he appeared on the popular Japanese music program ‘Venue 101’.
Aespa, to which Winter belongs, will hold a world tour starting in June along with a comeback in May. It is known that pneumothorax usually requires hospitalization for 2 to 3 days after surgery, and it takes another month or two for full recovery. We will have to see how Winter's health recovers, but word is that she will participate in the comeback activities and world tour schedule without any problems.
