YG's new girl group Baby Monster gave global fans pleasant energy with a behind-the-scenes video full of extraordinary passion for music.
YG Entertainment posted 'BABYMONSTER - 'BATTER UP' LIVE PERFORMANCE (Stadium Ver.) BEHIND' on its official blog on the afternoon of the 29th. The production process of the stadium version, which drew an explosive response from global music fans with its high-quality stage production and overwhelming live performance, was revealed.
The video clearly captures Baby Monster's excitement as he prepares for the stage. In particular, Chiquita smiled innocently while showing off her name tag and props such as a new hat and gloves, but was unable to hide her nervousness, making viewers laugh.
In particular, as it was their second live performance, the members' efforts to present a more complete stage were visible. It wasn't enough for each member to practice repeatedly, such as checking their vocals or lightly warming up, and all members even worked together to conduct their own rehearsals.
Baby Monster, who finally completed all preparations and visited the set, couldn't help but be impressed. This is because they had to work together with about 30 dancers on a larger set. Luca and Laura gave warm smiles when they said, "Thirty dancers came to visit us, thank you all. Please take care of us."
They led the atmosphere of the scene with their unique positive energy. Even though filming lasted for a long time in the extreme cold, they raised tension without losing their smiles and showed off unwavering group dance throughout. When the filming, which they did their best to complete, was completed, the members expressed their affectionate sincerity, saying, “I hope you will love ‘BATTER UP’ a lot.”
Meanwhile, Baby Monster's 'BATTER UP', which was released on the 27th of last month, swept the iTunes Song Charts in 21 countries upon its debut and rose to the top of the worldwide charts. It also ranked 101st and 49th on the US Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US charts, respectively. Spotify, the world's largest music platform, surpassed 10 million streams in 10 days, breaking the record for the shortest debut song by a K-pop girl group.
