A warrant examination is underway for Dr. Hyun-sik A, who is accused of giving drugs to actor Lee Sun-kyun (48), who is suspected of drug use.
According to the legal community, at 2:30 pm on the 27th, a substantive warrant review will be conducted for Mr. A, who has requested a prior arrest warrant for violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Mr. A is suspected of providing drugs to Seon-gyun Lee and others through Mr. B (29, female, arrested), the manager of a Gangnam entertainment bar. It was reported that the police previously searched and seized Mr. A's home and hospital located in Gangnam, Seoul and secured evidence. Mr. A is known as a person who made his name known by appearing on comprehensive channel health programs in the past.
Meanwhile, the police investigation into Lee Sun-kyun and Big Bang's G-Dragon (35, real name Kwon Ji-yong), who were booked in connection with this incident, is experiencing difficulties. There is criticism that an unreasonable investigation was carried out based only on Mr. B's testimony.
Afterwards, the National Forensic Service is said to have recently notified the police that no drug substances were detected in G-Dragon's fingernails. G-Dragon received negative results in all three tests and appears to be gaining further strength in his claim of innocence. He showed confidence by hinting at a strong response to malicious comments and defamation.
