Lim Soo-hyang successfully completes her first play, ‘Sea Village Diary’
Actress Lim Soo-hyang successfully completed her first play attempt.

Lim Soo-hyang played the role of 'Yoshino', the second child, in the play 'Sea Village Diary', which is based on the movie of the same name by director Hirokazu Koreeda. Throughout the performance, Lim Soo-hyang received favorable reviews for her effortless acting.

Yoshino treated Suzu, the youngest child, as if she were family from the beginning, and the bickering with her older sister Sachi showed real-life sister chemistry, filling the stage with laughter and tears. Im Soo-hyang then enriched the play with witty ad-libs that took advantage of the character's characteristics, and each episode was sold out.

Lim Soo-hyang delicately expressed Yoshino's heart and love for her family more than anyone else, to the point where the fact that it was her first play since her debut was overshadowed. In particular, it perfectly expresses the bright and confident side of the character and fully captures the character's charm.

Lim Soo-hyang, who brought laughter and emotion with her excellent stage control, said, “First of all, I would like to thank the many people who came to see the performance and supported me. It was a very precious time with great actors and staff in a work I love called ‘Sea Village Diary.’ “It was a work that brought me great healing and comfort while preparing for the performance, so I wanted to fully convey the emotions I felt, but fortunately, I was able to convey them to many people, so it was a meaningful time,” he said, expressing his feelings after finishing the performance.

He continued, “I was very nervous and excited to actually show my acting for the first time. A play is a work of art that is only complete when there are people watching it. I actually felt happy and received a lot of energy while interacting with the audience. I had a refreshing time in my acting career. “If I get the chance, I want to do it again,” he said, expressing his affection for theater. Lastly, he concluded his remarks by saying, “I will greet you again as a more mature person through good work.”

Lim Soo-hyang, who has appeared in various works and performed a variety of performances, shows her passion for acting as she communicates with the audience while trying out plays. Accordingly, expectations are high for what Lim Soo-hyang will show in the future.
