Episodes 5 and 6 of the Disney+ original series 'Vigilante' showed breathtaking clashes and unexpected alliances between characters with different purposes.
Episodes 5 and 6 of ‘Vigilante’ were released on Disney+ on the 22nd. In episode 5, Jo Heon (played by Yoo Ji-tae) raided the pig farm, the base of the crimes of Seol Future Resources Chairman Kim Sam-du (played by Yoon Kyung-ho), and wiped out his forces with only trophies and shields. In this process, Jo Heon showed off intense action scenes with overwhelming charisma.
Afterwards, Jo Heon named the barn as the Vigilante murder factory, reported it to the media, and announced that Vigilante had been arrested. However, Jiyong Kim continues his Vigilante activities by punishing another criminal, as if to prove that the police manipulated the evidence.
Kim Ji-yong (played by Nam Joo-hyuk) and Jo Heon, who had been drawing a tense confrontation, finally collided head-on. Jo Heon attacked Kim Ji-yong, who was wearing a black hood and wearing the appearance of Vigilante. The two people fiercely clashed while representing their respective definitions of justice, creating tension through realistic action and at the same time providing food for thought about true law and justice. In particular, Kim Ji-yong declared, "I will prove it to my seniors. I will show that illegality catches the great evil," raising expectations for his actions to realize his own justice by risking everything.
Kim Ji-yong, who was investigating corruption at Seul Mirae Resources, discovered Jjamgilante secretly watching him and chased after him, leading to an exciting chase between the two. Jjamgilante provoked Jiyong Kim by asking, “In fact, weren’t you hoping that someone like you would appear?” Kim Ji-yong demands that the mask be taken off, saying, “If you can’t take responsibility for yourself, you can’t hold hands.”
The face of Jo Kang-ok (played by Lee Jun-hyuk), hidden behind the mask, was revealed. Next, Kim Ji-yong informs the world of the ugly reality of Seul Future Resources and entrusts Jo Kang-ok with carrying out the plan to realize justice, raising expectations to see how the alliance between the two people fighting against the great evil will unfold.
Choi Mi-ryeo (played by Kim So-jin) quits the broadcasting station after the Vigilante murder factory controversy. Accordingly, Jo Kang-ok supported him to continue reporting on Seul Future Resources Chairman Kim Sam-du and the field mouse. Choi Mi-Ryeo announced to viewers watching her news, “I will never commit suicide,” making it clear that if she were to die, it would mean she was murdered by someone.
In addition, Jo Kang-ok delivered the evidence of the 800 billion won illegal transaction of Seul Future Resources obtained by Kim Ji-yong to Choi Mi-ryeo so that she could report on it, doubling the tension as to whether Kim Ji-yong's plan will succeed. Jo Heon follows Mr. Bang (played by Shin Jeong-geun) to find out the identity of the field mouse. The newly introduced villain Mr. Bang is a person who can rival Jo Heon, the most dominant character in the 'Vigilante' universe, and is a possessor of tremendous martial arts skills who can instantly subdue his opponent with a single awl.
As he had formed a solid fan base since the time the original webtoon was serialized and was highly anticipated by fans of the original work even before its release, his full-fledged appearance enthused many subscribers. The breathtaking battle between Jo Heon and Mr. Bang was depicted, and action scenes that you couldn't take your eyes off of were shown, clearly imprinting his presence as a new villain.
