BTS RM (real name Kim Nam-joon) visited Hwaeomsa Temple located in Jiri Mountain to get musical inspiration.
Hwaeomsa Temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism announced on the 4th that RM visited Hwaeomsa Temple with music producer Kang San.
Hwaeomsa Temple explains that it was not a temple stay, but rather a personal relaxation. He also revealed that he stayed at Hwaeomsa Temple for two days and one night to get musical inspiration.
He also had a conversation with Monk Deokmun, the head priest of Hwaeomsa Temple. Monk Deokmun asked, “Are you sad about not being exempted from military service?”
RM replied, “Of course, I want to fulfill my duty as a citizen of the Republic of Korea,” and “Only then will I be able to talk about ‘rights.’”
Monk Deokmoon advised, “The one and a half years in your 80s will not be wasted, but rather a precious time to reflect on yourself for a moment. Even if you get older and your hair turns gray, I hope you will remain as BTS RM who makes great music.” .
Meanwhile, BTS donates 500 bags every year to the children's relief organization 'Good World Charity Bank' and formed a relationship with Monk Deokmoon, who was the representative of the organization.
