Director Lee Soo-sung, who directed the movie 'Gangnam Zombie', revealed the reason for casting Park Ji-yeon.
On the afternoon of the 4th, a press screening for the movie 'Gangnam Zombies' (directed by Lee Soo-seong) was held at the Lotte Cinema Konkuk University entrance in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Actor Ji Il-ju and director Lee Soo-seong attended the press conference held after the preview.
'Gangnam Zombie' is a comical zombie action movie that depicts the struggle of people who risk their lives to survive in Gangnam, which has become the center of chaos as people showing symptoms of unknown causes appear.
On this day, Director Lee Soo-seong said, "I had never met actress Park Ji-yeon before. Around the time of casting, I heard about her through the producer, and she said it would be a good idea to turn into an actress and cast her. I did it willingly."
He added, "We also did reading together. What surprised me was that I received basic training at the action school, and my kicking and other postures came out better than I expected. When I asked, I was told that I was originally a 3rd degree Taekwondo master."
Director Lee Soo-seong said, "I was favorable toward action. Actress Park Ji-yeon's role is more progressive than I thought. In the play, she saves Ji Il-ju twice. It was changed from the original story. Actress Park Ji-yeon is good at action scenes, so the story is more interesting." “He worked hard enough to change it,” he said.
Meanwhile, 'Gangnam Zombie' will be released on the 5th.
