BTS Jungkook's 'Seven' reaches 1 billion streams in the shortest time ever on Spotify

Jungkook set a new record on Spotify with ‘Seven (feat. Latto)’.

On the 31st (Korean time), Spotify, the world's largest music platform, announced through its official SNS that Jungkook's solo single 'Seven' had been played a cumulative 1 billion times in 108 days (as of October 30) since it was released. This is a new record of achieving 1 billion streams in the shortest period of time in Spotify history.

The previous record was Miley Cyrus' 'Flowers', which achieved 1 billion streams in 112 days, but 'Seven' shortened the previous record by 4 days.

'Seven' was streamed 15,995,378 times upon its release on July 14th and entered first place on Spotify's 'Daily Top Song Global' chart. This is a new record for the first K-pop solo artist to enter this chart at number one, while also being the first K-pop artist to enter the chart with the highest cumulative number of plays. Additionally, 'Seven' ranked 3rd in the 'Most Streamed Songs of Summer 2023 (Global Standard)' announced by Spotify.

Jungkook, who has continued to hit home runs with his other solo single '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)' and the collaboration song 'TOO MUCH' with The Kid LAROI and Central Cee, will be hitting the streets on the afternoon of the 3rd of next month. At 1 o'clock, the solo album 'GOLDEN' will be released simultaneously around the world.

This album contains a total of 11 songs, including 'Seven' Explicit Ver., Clean Ver., and '3D'.

The title song 'Standing Next to You' is a retro funk song that stands out with Jungkook's groovy vocals, and 'Seven' producer Andrew Watt and Circuit are once again providing support and promoting the new song. I was in charge of producing.
