Actors Kim Seong-cheol and Kim Yu-jung showed off their modern charms, leaving the historical background of the play 'Shakespeare in Love'.
On the 30th, Allure magazine released a pictorial of Kim Seong-cheol and Kim Yu-jung, who co-star in the play 'Shakespeare in Love'.
'Shakespeare in Love', in which the two appear, is based on the movie of the same name released in 1998, and begins with the pleasant imagination that 'Romeo and Juliet' was born out of the love of the great writer William Shakespeare.
The work depicts the romantic love story of Will Shakespeare (played by Kim Seong-cheol), a promising playwright, and Viola de Lesseps (played by Kim Yu-jeong), who strives to achieve her dream through her passion for acting.
In this pictorial, the two captured the appearance of a modern and alluring couple. Kim Seong-cheol and Kim Yu-jung generously revealed their affection for their work in the following interview.
First, Kim Seong-cheol said, "I did Shakespeare's plays, but I never thought I would play Shakespeare's role. I think our work did a pretty good job of researching Shakespeare."
Actress Kim Yu-jeong, who is attempting her first stage performance, said, "I have read a lot of Shakespeare's works since I was young. He is also a person whose achievements everyone admires. I found it interesting that it was a work created by reinterpreting the character Shakespeare. Above all, Viola de “The character of Lesseps was also attractive,” he said.
Meanwhile, the play 'Shakespeare in Love' starring Kim Seong-cheol and Kim Yu-jung will be performed at the Seoul Arts Center's CJ Towol Theater on March 26.
