Actor Jang Geun-suk showed off his heavy presence in 'Bait' and showed off his acting that was completely integrated with the character.
In episodes 1 and 2 of the Coupang Play series 'Bait', which was released on the 27th, Jang Geun-suk gave a passionate performance by assimilating to the character of Goo-han, a passionate homicide detective who investigates murder cases.
In episode 1, Jang Geun-suk presented a full-fledged unexpected charm by making people curious about the narrative of Gu Gu-han's character, who went from a lawyer to a detective. Goo Do-han, who was disciplined on charges of document manipulation and concealing the case, was assigned to the mysterious Song Young-jin (Park Myung-hoon) murder case and tracked down the criminal. He detected the suspicious movements of Lee Byeong-jun (played by Lee Seung-jun) at the scene of the incident and identified him as a suspect. He soon became suspicious after hearing from Lee Byeong-jun, who claimed to be unfair, that everything happened because of Noh Sang-cheon (played by Heo Seong-tae), who died 8 years ago. .
Gu Do-han, in a dispirited situation where Song Young-jin's remaining transcript and Lee Byeong-jun's testimony both pointed to Noh Sang-cheon, who died eight years ago, as the culprit, had a conversation with Lee Byeong-jun to solve the case. Gu Do-han, who heard from Lee Byeong-jun about the relationship between three people in the past: Noh Sang-cheon, Song Young-jin, and Deputy Director Kang Jong-hoon (played by Lee Seong-wook), could not hide his surprise.
In response, Gu Do-han said to Deputy Director Kang, “If there is anything I need to cover, please let me know in advance,” adding mystery to the relationship between Kang Jong-hoon and Noh Sang-cheon. Jang Geun-suk drew people into the story by expressing the slightly trembling eyes and emotional changes of the character he was constructing.
In episode 2, Jang Geun-suk showed off his colorful charm as Goo Do-han, who is more persistent and passionate than anyone else in the murder case. Gu Do-han was convinced that the culprit in Song Young-jin's case was not Lee Byeong-jun, and soon narrowed the scope to a group of victims who had been defrauded by Noh Sang-cheon, adding to the excitement.
In the second half, Gu Do-han discovers that Lee Byeong-jun, who disappeared while avoiding the eyes of the detective who was following him, is with Cheon Na-yeon (played by Lee Elijah) at the scene of the murder of city council member Park Kwang-shin, and points a gun at the two.
Afterwards, Gu Do-han not only gave a warning to a fellow detective who was convinced that Lee Byeong-jun and Cheon Na-yeon, who were caught at the crime scene, were the real culprits of the murder, but he was also embarrassed to hear from Kang Jong-hoon, who arrived at the scene late, that this was the third murder case related to Noh Sang-cheon. I couldn't hide my embarrassment. Jang Geun-suk absorbed the character that changed every moment depending on the situation, creating tension.
Episodes 3 and 4 of ‘Bait’, starring Jang Geun-suk, will be released on Coupang Play at 8 PM on February 3.
