Interview with the movie ‘Maybe We Broke Up’
On the afternoon of the 3rd, Lee Dong-hwi spoke in an interview for the movie ‘Maybe We Broke Up’ (director Hyung Seul-woo) at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu.
On this day, Lee Dong-hwi said, "I love clothes so much. Other than acting or movies, I love clothes so much that you could say I'm crazy about clothes." He added, "Many people liked clothes, and among them, I'm probably the only one who still shops. “That’s it,” he said, drawing attention.
He said, "I don't have any particular hobbies. I'm not interested in hanging out until late at night while drinking, so I like things I can do alone. I get satisfaction from things I can do alone, such as paintings that I can go in alone and come out alone. I feel satisfied." “Maybe it’s because I grew up as an only child for a long time, but I’m happy about that,” he emphasized.
He also said, "Usually, when I'm working on a piece, I discuss it with the costume manager, and when I'm given freedom after discussion, I tend to do it a little more freely. When I leave it to the costume manager, I leave it up to him completely."
Lee Dong-hwi also made people laugh by emphasizing, “I just want to tell you that I have never once called myself a fashionista.”
Lee Dong-hwi went on to mention his previous roles as Yeong-ho in the movie 'Extreme Job' and as Ki-tae in 'Gukdo Theatre', saying, "The characters are detectives and exam takers, so they are people who don't care about clothes. They have to dress very comfortably and be practical. Detectives are visible. “You have to wear it so it’s not noticeable,” he said. “In those cases, I absolutely tend to reduce the number of clothes. I tend to try to solve the problem with about 2 pieces.”
He continued, "Conversely, there are times when you have to pay attention. If you have a desire to show off, have a lot of meetings, or are playing a role that is pretentious, you pay attention in that way," and added, "You have to do it to fit the role unconditionally. That's the truth."
Released on February 8th.
