Kim Na-young, controversy over remark "2 toasts cost 30,000 won"

Broadcaster Kim Na-young's 'celebrity assistant referee' comment caused controversy.

Nayoung Kim posted a video on her YouTube channel on the 8th. In the released video, Kim Na-young started ‘making French toast.’

Kim Na-young also showed off her own recipe using bread, eggs, sugar, and butter. In particular, he gave a useful tip about searing bread with a torch.

Kim Na-young also said, "I feel so much like a chef. Should I start a business? This costs 15,000 won if you go to Cheongdam-dong right now."

Some production crew members who heard this pointed out that the food was poor compared to the price. In response, Kim Na-young put some fruit on toast. Afterwards, Kim Na-young said, "It costs 30,000 won like this. Isn't it okay because it has a good atmosphere? It's because it was made by a celebrity."

The video is uploaded, and the remarks are met with criticism. This is because Kim Na-young’s jokes could be seen as ‘job privileges.’ In fact, many netizens pointed out, “Are celebrities public officials?”

Meanwhile, Kim Na-young married businessman A, 10 years her senior, in 2015 and gave birth to two sons. However, they divorced in 2019. Mr. A was arrested on charges of receiving unfair profits worth about 20 billion won by opening a private futures option without permission from the Financial Supervisory Commission.

Nayoung Kim is currently in a public relationship with My Q, a singer and painter of the same age.
