Jung Yong-hwa confessed that he has a psychopathic brain.
In the 11th episode of KBS2's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Brain Cooperation', which aired on the 13th, Shin Haru (played by Jung Yong-hwa) was depicted confessing that he has the brain of a psychopathic person.
On this day's broadcast, while Shin Haru was confronting a gunman who broke into his house, a memory from his childhood suddenly came to mind due to the gunman's provocation, "Young man, you should go too," and the act of throwing dirt from a flower pot to attack the gunman. While Shin Haru was caught off guard for a moment, the gunman ran away, and Shin Haru wondered who the identity of the gunman was, who knew a lot about him. Shin Haru then reported the intrusion to the police, but as it was difficult to handle it quickly, he went to Geum Myeong-se (played by Cha Tae-hyun) and asked him to investigate.
The neuroscience team was assigned the new case of Jo Na-young (played by Kim Min-ju), in which the culprit left the phrase, "I did what my brain told me," at the scene. Shin Haru and Geum Myeong-se set out to find Helmet Man, the suspect captured on CCTV, and after much difficulty, discovered that Helmet Man was wearing a uniform. Geum Myeong-se discovered that the person who broke into Shin Haru's house and Helmet Man, the suspect in Jo Na-young's case, were the same person. At this time, the situation took a turn when Jo Na-young's lost cell phone was turned on at Jangwon Prison.
While Shin Haru headed to the prison with Geum Myeong-se, claiming that someone related to him was imprisoned, Jinbeom appeared at the neuroscience team and attacked Chief Kim (played by Woohyeon). Fortunately, Seol So-jeong (played by Kwak Seon-yeong) overpowered and arrested the real culprit, and it was revealed that the real culprit was the prison guard (played by Geum Ho-seok) who guarded Hwang Dong-woo (played by Jeong Dong-hwan). Shin Haru interrogated Geum Myeong-se and the guards, asking why they wanted to teach him pain, why he broke in, and why he called them “little ones,” but the guards responded by doing what their brains told them to do, not what Hwang Dong-woo told them to do. He embarrassed me by confessing that he had done it.
Shin Haru wanted to know about his parents' car accident and went to Hwang Dong-woo. When Hwang Dong-woo provoked him by saying, “You say you don’t want to think about it?”, he didn’t ask any more questions. Shin Haru had the center director (played by Im Cheol-hyung) come to his house and asked if it was an ordinary car accident, but the center director tried to hide his anxiety and answered that it was just Hwang Dong-woo, who had a bad relationship with Shin Haru's father, who was bullying his son Shin Haru. .
However, the next day, prosecutor Han Yeon-hee (played by Han Ji-wan), who came to the neuroscience team, requested Shin Haru's advice, claiming that the prison guard, the suspect in the Jo Na-young case, should have a psychopathic brain and reduce the sentence. Additionally, when neurologist Hwang Dong-woo announced that he would appear in court as a witness to support the claim that psychopathic brains are a disease, Shin Haru attended the trial with members of the neuroscience team.
At the request of the prison guard's lawyer, Hwang Dong-woo appeared, and Hwang Dong-woo argued that the prison guard was a person with a psychopathic brain and brain dysfunction, which was grounds for a reduced sentence. Accordingly, when Han Yeon-hee, from the prosecutor's box, asked Hwang Dong-woo about how to treat the psychopath brain, Hwang Dong-woo said that there were many efforts to treat it and pointed to Shin Haru in the audience, telling her to ask Shin Haru, who is working on the psychobrain rebuilding project.
Shin Haru, who appeared as a financial witness, also agreed that psychopathy is a type of disease. However, he did not agree with the argument that prison guards with psychopathic brains should be given reduced sentences because they are patients, and expressed the opinion that there are many people who have psychopathic brains but live normal, successful lives without committing murder. Moreover, when Shin Haru was attacked by the prison guard's lawyer, who asked if it was just speculation, he firmly said, "No, there is evidence," causing an uproar in the courtroom.
In the ending, Shin Haru showed an MRI picture of a person who had the characteristics of a psychopathic brain but did not become a murderer and said, "The main character of this picture, the person with a psychopathic brain, is me." In particular, Shin Haru, who confidently revealed himself as he explained the characteristics of a psychopathic brain in detail, Hwang Dong-woo, who smiled as if he had already expected it, and Geum Myeong-se, who was in a state of ice after being so shocked, stood out.
