Kim Hyun-joo revealed the fact of Park Hee-soon's sexual assault.
In the SBS Monday-Tuesday drama 'Trolley', which aired on the 13th, Kim Hye-joo (played by Kim Hyun-joo) was depicted falling into the biggest dilemma of her life.
On this day's broadcast, Kim Hye-joo learned that Hyun Yeo-jin (played by Seo Jeong-yeon) was not having an affair with Nam Jung-do (played by Park Hee-soon) but was a victim of sexual assault. Kim Hye-joo was shocked and confused by this. He, who tried to bury the truth in order to protect the Namgung Sol Act promoted by Nam Jung-do, suddenly turned the situation around by holding a press conference.
Kim Hye-joo appeared on the news with Nam Jung-do. Another hurdle awaited him as he courageously revealed the incident from 20 years ago. As Nam Jung-do expected, questions continued about the sexual assault of Nam Ji-hoon (played by Jeong Taek-hyeon), which conflicts with the Namgung Sol Act for victims of sexual crimes. Even though she knew it wasn't true, Kim Hye-joo had no choice but to admit to Nam Jung-do's persuasion that "Ji-hoon's story is the most effective in appealing to the sincerity of Namgung Solbeop."
Unlike in front of the camera, there was a cold air between the two people who returned to the waiting room. Meanwhile, Kim Hye-joo and Nam Jung-do, who received a call that Hyun Yeo-jin had taken a large amount of sleeping pills in an attempt to commit suicide, headed to the hospital emergency room. Kim Hye-joo, who was left alone after sending Nam Jung-do away, felt confused the whole time she saw Hyeon Yeo-jin. Hyun Yeo-jin, who regained consciousness a while later, said she was sorry for lying to Kim Hye-joo as soon as she saw her, and confessed that she had been sexually assaulted by Nam Jung-do in the past.
Kim Hye-joo, who finally faced the truth, hugged Hyeon Yeo-jin and cried for a long time. Hyeon Yeo-jin said she would stay as is now because she did not have the confidence to report it. Although it was sad to see that, Kim Hye-joo knew that feeling better than anyone else, so she couldn't force it. But the reality was harsh. In fact, the perpetrator, Nam Jung-do, was accelerating the promotion of the Namgung Sol Act while hiding the truth. Kim Hye-joo directly questioned Nam Jung-do about the truth. Namgoongdo consistently made the excuse that it was just a mistake and that he sincerely reflected and atoned and lived righteously.
Jang Woo-jae (played by Kim Moo-yeol) was his only ally. Jang Woo-jae, who had already heard of Nam Jung-do's actions and told Hyun Yeo-jin to pretend not to know, said, "It was the better choice for me and the world for you to continue in politics." Kim Hye-joo asked if she would remain silent about this matter. As if guessing Jang Woo-jae's self-deprecation, "What can I do now if I don't believe in it?" Kim Hye-joo asked Daehan Party representative Woo Jin-seok (played by Kim Mi-kyung) to speak alone.
Woo Jin-seok's answer that he would remain silent was unexpected. However, Woo Jin-seok said, "If Rep. Nam continues to remain a politician, this world, including the Namgung Sol Act, will become a better world, perhaps a world that is not much different from the world Kim Hye-joo hopes for." He also left the judgment to Kim Hye-joo, saying, "However, for some people, even if many things, including the Namgung Sol Act, are destroyed, it would be a better world if Rep. Nam's work was revealed rather than hidden."
Meanwhile, Kim Soo-bin (played by Jeong Soo-bin), who heard the news and went to the hospital, was secretly filming the conversation between Nam Jung-do and Hyun Yeo-jin, but was caught by Jang Woo-jae and had all the videos that could serve as evidence for the revelation taken away. Kim Soo-bin returned to the hospital room and told Hyun Yeo-jin to report it to the police immediately. Kim Hye-joo, who saw this, reprimanded Kim Soo-bin, but Kim Soo-bin took issue with the situation in which Nam Gung-hoon was pushed out as a sex offender and the truth about Nam Jung-do was ignored because of the Namgung Sol Act. He then said, “If you want to reveal the truth, is it okay to bury other truths?”
In the end, Kim Hye-joo's heart was moved. Kim Hye-joo revealed the whole truth, saying, "My son did not commit sexual assault. I lied even though I knew the truth. And my husband sexually assaulted a woman five years ago."
