Actor Jang Seung-jo expressed his thoughts on the end of the drama 'Can I Be Someone Else?'
On the 23rd, ENA Channel's 'Can I Become Someone Else' ended with 12 episodes. On this day, Goo Eun-beom (played by Jang Seung-jo) confesses to his mother the internal trauma he has been carrying alone for the past several decades, shakes off the guilt that was stuck in him "because of you" and announces a new beginning in his previously cold family relationship, while O Hara (played by Jang Seung-jo) confesses to his mother the internal trauma he has been carrying alone for the past decades. Although he ultimately chose to break up with Kang So-ra (played by Kang So-ra), the play ended with an ing-type reality ending where they are breaking up.
Jang Seung-jo evokes laughter by realistically portraying the ex-husband who is dependent on alienation from the beginning of the play, and after reuniting with his ex-wife, he adds his own charm and wit, fully exuding a devilish charm that cannot be rejected, making the character a natural. Completed as an attractive character in itself.
In the play, Hara, of course, also made the viewers gradually become absorbed in Goo Eun-beom. Within the genre of romantic comedy, Jang Seung-jo showed off a variety of acting variations. From a new type of ultra-realistic romance called divorce romance to again romance that leads to reunion, it opened a new horizon for 'Jang Seung-jo's romance' with various tension and excitement points within one genre.
Here, the dramatic trauma and pain of the characters were played out in a drama of their own. His dense emotional acting, which seems to be conveyed calmly but conveys deep wounds, has the power to make you want to console Gu Eun-beom's pain as well.
Jang Seung-jo expressed his feelings through his agency Ace Factory, saying, "Thank you so much for your love for 'Can I Be Someone Else?'. It was a precious time to spend with such great actors and staff."
He continued, "Goo Eun-beom was another challenge and a beginning for me, and I am so grateful and sad that it ended with the support and love of the viewers. I will do my best to show you a better version of myself in the future. I will do my best to show you the story of Hara and Eun-beom. “Thank you very much for listening,” he added.
