Actor Lee Chung-ju performed the musical 'Moulin Rouge!' at Blue Square Shinhan Card Hall on the 5th. The last performance was successfully completed, concluding a three-month journey that began in December of last year.
The musical 'Moulin Rouge!' is a mashup work that tells the love story of Satine, the best star of the club Moulin Rouge in Paris, France, in the 1890s, and Christian, a young composer. Lee Chung-ju plays the role of 'Christian,' an unknown genius composer who dreams of true love. It captured the hearts of the audience.
As it was the Asian premiere with the participation of the original creative and production team, Lee Chung-ju repaid the audience with a passionate performance. The stage became more perfect each time, amplifying the audience's immersion and drawing positive reviews as 'Christian himself'.
Lee Chung-ju said, “It was a dream-like time. The entire time I was able to stand on stage as Christian in Asia's premiere masterpiece musical 'Moulin Rouge!' was such an honorable, overwhelming, and touching time. I am sincerely grateful to all the audiences who cared for me, loved me, and came to the theater.
