Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara, fourth meeting in 9 years

The delightful script reading scene for tvN's new drama 'Family', which is attracting attention even before the broadcast as the fourth meeting between Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara, was revealed.

tvN's new drama 'Family', scheduled to air in April, is a thrilling family-killing espionage comedy about the husband, a black agent of the National Intelligence Service who disguises his identity as an ordinary office worker, and his sweet and bitter wife who dreams of a perfect family. Directed by Jang Jeong-do, EP (Executive Producer), who also executive produced a number of hit works such as the dramas 'Live', 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim', 'The Man Who Became King', 'Our Blues', 'Haunted', and 'The Island'. 'Golden Combination' Jang Hyuk and Jang Na-ra work together again for the first time in 9 years.

At the 'Family' script reading held in Sangam-dong, the production team, including director Jang Jeong-do, Lee Jeong-mook, and writer Jeong Yoo-seon, along with Jang Hyuk (as Kwon Do-hoon), Jang Na-ra (as Kang Yu-ra), Chae Jeong-an (as Oh Cheon-ryun), Lee Soon-jae (as Kwon Woong-soo), and Kim Kang-min (as Kwon Ji-hoon) Major cast members including Sang-jeong Yoon (who played the role of Lee Mi-rim), Gabi (who played the role of Ma Young-ji), and Shin Su-ah (who played the role of Kwon Min-seo) attended.

Director Jang Jeong-do said, “I am grateful to have good actors working on the script that I discussed for a long time with the writer. “I will create a place where we can always meet with smiles,” he said. Director Lee Jeong-mook, who co-directed the film, also said, “Many people say that the work follows the title. “We will do our best to create a harmonious family-like atmosphere until the end.” The actors and staff showed their fighting spirit with strong applause.

At the script reading, Jang Hyuk and Jang Na-ra showed off their chewy and delicious Tiki Taka, proving to be an unbeatable golden combination at the box office. Jang Hyuk, who plays the role of Kwon Do-hoon, exudes charisma and creates tension as a black agent of the National Intelligence Service, but when he gets married to Jang Na-ra, he plays the lover's husband and shows off his sly comical acting, filling the script reading scene with laughter. Jang Na-ra, who plays the role of Kang Yu-ra, increased the level of immersion with a lively and passionate performance that drew the scene just by reading, and automatically made the staff fall in love with her lively and lovely charm.

Chae Jeong-an played the role of National Intelligence Service agent Oh Cheon-ryeon with her unrivaled girl-crush charm as her own character. Moreover, while bickering with Jang Hyuk and exuding chemistry as a shooter, she showed a close womanance with a subtle wariness with Jang Na-ra, making us even more curious about their relationship that will be shown in the play.

Lee Soon-jae said, “It’s a character I haven’t tried before. After saying, “I will do my best to show myself,” he made full use of his official acting skills and added laughter by expressing the character of Kwon Woong-soo, the friendly and loving father of Kwon Do-hoon, in a comical and realistic way. Above all, Lee Soon-jae, Kim Kang-min, Yoon Sang-jeong, and Shin Su-ah, along with Jang Hyuk and Jang Na-ra, exuded close family-like chemistry, raising expectations for the birth of a pleasant family.

The ‘Family’ production team said, “From the first reading, the chemistry and synergy of the cast, including Jang Hyuk and Jang Na-ra, exceeded expectations. All the actors and staff will work hard to prepare and deliver a drama that viewers can fall in love with, laugh, and empathize with. “Please look forward to it,” he expressed confidence.

‘Family’ is scheduled to air for the first time in April.
