The first episode ‘It made sense when I heard it’, a new concept of radio theater storytelling

‘Hear it, Look It, It’s Like It’ opened its doors as a novel storytelling program.

JTBC's 'I Heared, Seeed, It's Like It' (hereinafter 'It's Like It'), which first aired on the 15th, attracted viewers' attention with a unique radio drama-style storytelling that combined drama, entertainment, and culture. It approached the home screen with fun elements such as the acting skills of actors who vividly expressed various human groups, greed and betrayal, a twisted story, and behind-the-scenes stories.

'It's Like It' is a new concept storytelling program in which director Jang Hang-jun and actors tell stories about events and people that are not well known to the public in the form of a radio drama. Director Jang Hang-jun made people laugh by honestly saying, “This is my first recording, but I don’t think it will go well.” Ha-sun Park said, “It’s experimental. “I looked into Japanese and Chinese entertainment, but there were no references,” he said.

On this day's broadcast, the '6.5 billion gold bullion theft incident' that occurred in 2014 was covered. Director Jang Hang-jun, actors Seo Hyun-cheol and Park Ha-sun, comedian Lee Eun-ji, YouTube Fathers frontman Moon Sang-hoon, voice actor Kim Bo-min famous for Sbokman, and other members of 'Geussae Theater' were present as guests, as well as actress Oh Na-ra.

The colorful transformations of Lee Eun-ji, Moon Sang-hoon, and Oh Na-ra, who play multiple roles, the narration that makes you listen to the story, and the performance of Kim Bo-min, who has excellent character digestion, increased immersion. When the first scene, in which Park Ha-sun, who plays Lee Soon-ae, begins searching through the house, Foley Artist director Lee Chung-gyu created realistic sound effects on site.

Seo Hyun-cheol, who plays figure enthusiast Jo Hyun-soo, junior 1 Moon Sang-hoon, and junior 2 Eun-ji Lee played the role of a trio who discovered an unexpected gold bar, heightening interest. Meanwhile, director Jang Hang-jun showed off his professional side as a director through serious directing that brought out the emotions of the trio in chaos. When the acting of the actors who received the direction became much better, Oh Na-ra praised them and said, “You are truly a great director.” Jang Hang-jun gave a wide laugh by saying, “I didn’t start my career as a Jjaljjal(?).”

Oh Na-ra's tearful performance as the wife of the grandfather who was the original owner of the gold bars was heartbreaking. The scene where the husband, who had worked hard day and night while he was alive, belatedly found out why he had been dreaming three times and said hello to the sky, brought tears to the eyes of the viewers.

We were also able to hear the behind-the-scenes story revealed by the detectives in charge of the case at the time. Among them, while Kim Bo-min's narration that Detective Cho Joong-geun and his party, who went to Cho Hyun-soo's house through an undercover investigation, could not keep their mouths shut, stimulated curiosity, a video showing an actual house filled with figures worth a whopping 300 million won was released, which was surprising.

In this way, 'Graceful' brought fresh enjoyment by unfolding the '6.5 billion gold bullion theft case', which was reported on the news at the time, in the form of a radio drama. Depending on the role, there are scenes that the actors do not know, so it is fun to deduce the next story together, and the excellent acting and directing of the actors who can imagine the situation, as well as sound effects, provided an immersion level that is as immersive as a drama.
