Won Jin-ah "I chose this work without any fear, and I have no regrets at all."

Actress Won Jin-ah fearlessly chose to appear in the play 'Faust', but revealed that she has no regrets.

On the afternoon of the 21st, a practice room for the play 'Faust' was unveiled and a press conference was held at LG Arts Center Seoul in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Actors Yoo In-chon, Park Hae-soo, Park Eun-seok, Won Jin-ah, and director Yang Jeong-woong attended the event. Prior to the meeting, the actors demonstrated scenes from the play, including ‘Heavenly Overture’, ‘Faust’s Study 2’, ‘The Garden’, and ‘The Witch’s Kitchen’.

'Faust' is a reinterpretation of the play completed over 60 years by the great German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Through Faust's imperfect actions and choices, direction and inspiration for an imperfect life are presented.

Gretchen, played by Won Jin-ah, is a character who falls in love with a young Faust whom she meets by chance, and as a result, faces a crisis that puts her entire family and herself in danger.

On this day, Won Jin-ah said, "I thought it was a long time ago whether I would ever perform. As I was working on the work, there was a time when I worried a lot about whether I would be able to act with this level of skill and knowledge and proudly be proud of my job as an actor. “I met ‘Faust’,” he began.

He said, "I wanted to become a better actor through new attempts and become an actor who gives a little more strength to the people I work with, but things didn't go as I wanted, so I had a lot of worries. I think I'll have an opportunity to perform at the right time, but I'm looking forward to taking on a new challenge with 'Faust.' “He gave me a grateful suggestion and asked me what to do,” he said.

He continued, "I didn't have the luxury of mind to hesitate anymore. I thought that if it wasn't now, I would be able to walk down a new path and reveal a new side of myself through this work. I didn't worry about it even for a day. "I decided to do it without any fear. I have no regrets at all. I am practicing with a heavy heart, as if I had heard the message that I could act in the future," he added.

Meanwhile, 'Faust' opens at LG Arts Center Seoul on the 31st.
