YG's new group Baby Monster releases full cover video of 'STAY'

YG heated up global fans by releasing a vocal cover video that added the unique music color of the new girl group BABYMONSTER.

YG Entertainment posted a cover video of Blackpink's 'STAY' sung by Baby Monster's Asa, Haram, Laura, and Chiquita on its official blog on the 25th. This is a more dense version of their stage, which was previously shown through BABYMONSTER - 'Last Evaluation' EP.3.

Even though they are rookies who have not yet officially debuted, their outstanding vocal abilities and rich emotional lines that are reminiscent of their music stand out. As soon as the song started, Haram took the center stage with his unrivaled voice and unwavering live skills, and repeatedly aroused admiration by delicately unraveling the complex and subtle emotions ahead of a breakup.

Laura became completely immersed in music and created her own new style. The low-toned, simple voice left a deep lingering feeling in the hearts of listeners, and the unique soft groove doubled the lyrical charm of the original song.

Chiquita then added richness to the song with beautiful harmony along with Haram and Laura. Chiquita's clear and elegant tone is in perfect harmony with the string sound, and the elegant control of the pace gradually heightens the atmosphere of the song, increasing the sense of immersion.

Asa added new rap to the original song to broaden the fun of listening. The relaxed facial expressions and gestures provided a unique attraction and drew the viewers in, and with an excellent sense of rhythm, they freely moved through the melody and performed sensuous rapping.

Following Team A 's 'Gone', Team B also responded that they were able to get a glimpse of the musical color and infinite possibilities that only Baby Monster can show. Global fans' expectations are rising day by day, as all prospective members have imprinted themselves as 'all-rounders' who can perform everything including vocals, rap, and visuals.

Meanwhile, Baby Monster is a new girl group released by YG about 7 years after Blackpink. The prospective members are mostly teenagers: 3 from Korea (Ahyeon, Haram, and Laura), 2 from Thailand (Parita and Chiquita), and 2 from Japan (Luca and Asa). The debut reality show 'Last Evaluation' for final member selection is released every Friday at 00:00.
