While Kim Ji-yeon (WJSN's Bona) was on the alert, Woo Do-hwan proposed a deal to Lee Jun-hyuk.
In MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'The Joseon Lawyer', which first aired on March 31, the captivating story of Kang Han-soo (played by Woo Do-hwan), who sets foot in Mapo Pier to settle in Hanyang, and the story of a princess to save the people. The turbulent story of Lee Yeon-ju (played by Kim Ji-yeon), who hid her identity and transformed into a female servant, was depicted.
The broadcast that day began with Kang Han-soo's self-deprecating monologue explaining why foreign branches are needed. The first incident that truly showed Hansoo his true value occurred when he appeared with the sail of hiring a representative, which means hiring a foreign branch and filing a lawsuit on his behalf. Mr. Park (played by Choi Jae-hwan), who was selling plum wine at a stall, had to be chased out by Chusal (played by Lee Chan-jong), the head of the Jang clan that rules Mapo Naru, for not paying a fee.
Kang Han-soo, who was nearby, hid Mr. Park, who was running away, in the stable where his donkey was, but he soon exposed Mr. Park and raised suspicions for his unknown behavior of inciting a fight. In this way, Mr. Park was discovered by the Chussal group, but the incident was put to an end when Lee Yeon-ju helped Mr. Park. Mr. Park sought lawsuits from foreign branches within the capital city, but was often rejected due to the fact that the opponents were members of the Jang clan. To make matters worse, the house caught fire in the middle of the night, and the whole house was lost, and the situation became increasingly bleak. In the end, Mr. Park went to Kang Han-soo's office and asked him to take charge of the lawsuit.
After completing all preparations, Kang Han-soo, along with Mr. Park, began a lawsuit against Jang Dae-bang (played by Lee Jun-hyuk) and Cho Gaek-ju (played by Hong Wan-pyo) over the sale of plum wine. Kang Han-soo glared at his opponent with a spirited attitude and continued his defense like a clear-headed man. Jang Daebang's side seemed to be leading the lawsuit to his advantage by citing examples of similar disputes, but Kang Han-su countered that the dispute was a case of the Ming Dynasty, not Joseon.
He grabbed the people who were watching the lawsuit and created an exciting situation where everyone shouted, “We are the people of Joseon.” Even though Pan Yun of Hanseongbu, who judged the trial, received a bribe from Jang Daebang, he had no choice but to declare the victory of Mr. Park and Hansu, under the pressure of Kang Han-su who persuaded the crowd. Afterwards, thanks to Lee Yeon-ju's accusation, Kang Han-soo and Dong-chi (played by Lee Kyu-seong) were arrested as arsonists at Mr. Park's house. However, it was revealed that Hansu's arson was to save Mr. Park's mother, who was trying to commit suicide.
In conclusion, Kang Han-soo saved the life of a family. Lee Yeon-joo's perspective on him began to change little by little when she realized that Kang Han-soo was able to do what she herself could not do no matter what she did. As Kang Han-soo and Lee Yeon-ju hid from the Jang family who were chasing them as revenge for the lawsuit, a strange tension and emotion arose as Kang Han-su held Lee Yeon-ju in his arms. The two ended up in danger of being taken by Jang Daebang's gang and locked in an abandoned warehouse. Kang Han-soo, who had been humiliated by Jang Dae-bang in the past, smiled even in desperate moments and proposed a deal to Jang Dae-bang, saying, "I'll save you?"
