In episode 1 of tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Sparkling Watermelon', the tumultuous first meeting takes place between Lee Chan (played by Choi Hyun-wook), a feisty and passionate man, and Se-kyung (played by Seol In-ah), a cello goddess whom anyone can't help but fall in love with.
By chance, Lee Chan runs into Se-kyung, the cello goddess at the school next door, and feels a different kind of trepidation than before. The spring breeze of Se-kyung seeps into the heart of 18-year-old Lee Chan. Lee Chan tries to get Se-kyung's attention, but due to Se-kyung's dry and indifferent attitude, there are signs that his first love will not be smooth.
To make matters worse, grandmother Go Yang-hee (played by Go Doo-shim) comes to punish her grandson for neglecting his studies, causing Lee Chan to run a chase in the middle of the day in front of Se-kyung. In the released photo, Lee Chan is in a defensive posture as if he is frightened when he sees the grandmother who appeared holding a bat, and Go Yang-hee is reprimanding Lee Chan with a stern expression, creating an unusual atmosphere.
In particular, as Lee Chan begins a desperate run to avoid Go Yang-hee's fire bat attack, the chase in the middle of the city is completed quickly, and viewers are expected to be immediately immersed in it. People are looking forward to the first broadcast of 'Sparkling Watermelon', where Lee Chan, a bright 18-year-old who wants to shine brighter than anyone else, will be able to turn his chase with his grandmother into a romance with Se-kyung.
‘Sparkling Watermelon’ will be aired for the first time today (25th) at 8:50 PM.
