The story of how a 10-year-old shaman received divine blessings was revealed on 'Scoop World'.
MBN's 'Scoop World', which aired on the 6th, introduced the story of Seo Chae-won, a 10-year-old shaman who received divine help last year.
Seo Chae-won said, “I have been going around Samsan Mountain and receiving God since I was 9 years old,” and added, “I started praying last year.” Seo Chae-won's mother said, "Before I was ordained, I lived in tears. However, when I saw my child loving and happy after receiving it, the heartache was washed away. She feels so strongly that it is her shrine, so she doesn't let her touch anything that is hers. She is happy now." He said.
Seo Chae-won's father, Seo Min-ho, is also a shaman. Seo Min-ho confessed, "At the time (when my daughter was blessed by the gods), they didn't even light a candle at the shrine. I felt resentful toward the gods." Seo Min-ho said, "God came to me when I was 7 years old, and when I was 17 years old, I learned martial arts from my mother. I received divine blessings and am currently walking the path of God." Seo Chae-won's father said, "There were many people who misunderstood that I was doing business with Chae-won. Chae-won is at an age where she should be drawing with crayons and laughing in a sketchbook like other students and friends, but she gets involved in other people's lives at a young age and predicts good or bad luck." “It’s heartbreaking,” he said, revealing his true feelings.
It is said that Seo Chae-won was often sick before receiving the divine help. Seo Chae-won's mother said, "I was always sick. I was hospitalized because of pneumonia, and I vomited whenever I ate formula. My height and weight were always below that." He continued, "One day, Chae-won cried and cried, saying that she would die if I didn't receive her god. She asked me if my god name was correct, but would you neglect me like this? Since my husband is a shaman, he wouldn't let my children do it, so I couldn't even talk to him for several years and was heartbroken." He confessed. The father confessed, "I wonder if God came to worship because of me. I wonder if God went to Chaewon because sacred energy can be passed down from generation to generation. I always feel guilty."
