The Baeksang Arts Awards, together with the Italian luxury brand, will establish a new award category, the 'Gucci Impact Award', and expand support to strengthen the cultural capabilities of next-generation creative talents.
On the 7th, the Baeksang Arts Awards secretariat announced this news. The newly established category is an award given to works that have contributed to creating a better tomorrow by densely expressing voices about imbalance and fairness in the local community.
This year's winner, selected by the Baeksang Arts Awards judges through a pre-screening process, is 'Daum Sohee (directed by Jeong Joo-ri),' a film based on a true story about youth labor issues and social inequality.
Meanwhile, the '59th Baeksang Arts Awards' will be held at Paradise City, Incheon on April 28 and will be broadcast live on JTBC, JTBC2, JTBC4, and digitally on TikTok.
