The turbulent divorce case between Woo Do-hwan and Kim Ji-yeon (WJSN's Bona) has come to an end.
In the 4th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Chosun Lawyer', which aired on the 8th, the struggle of Kang Han-soo (played by Woo Do-hwan) and Lee Yeon-ju (played by Kim Ji-yeon) to save Madam Jo (played by Bae Hae-seon) from Park Je-soo (played by Jo Hee-bong) was depicted.
Earlier, while Kang Han-soo was planning to take revenge on Park Je-soo, he learned of the situation his wife, Master Jejo, was in. I was going to take charge of the divorce case between the two people. However, Kang Han-soo had a conflict of opinion with Lee Yeon-joo over the way to proceed with the divorce case, and predicted difficulties from the beginning.
Kang Han-soo, who needs revenge on Park Je-soo, is in crisis after being fired by Lee Yeon-joo. Nevertheless, just as Kang Han-su visited Myeongwol (played by Noh Haeng-ha), a courtesan who used to hang out with Park Je-soo, and tried to find out about her, Myeongwol became attached to Lee Yeon-ju, who was disguised as a scholar, and the situation took a strange turn. Lee Yeon-ju gave Myeong-wol the right to run the bunjeon and encouraged her to stand on the side of Master Jesu, and Kang Han-soo handed Myeong-wol a bundle containing the medicine that Je-soo Park had brought upon his father-in-law's death.
Yeonju, who had found a new foreign branch, handed over materials favorable to the lawsuit to him, not knowing that it was a trap planted by Choo Young-woo (played by Choi Moo-seong). Meanwhile, Kang Han-soo, who was dragged to Park Je-soo by Jo Dae-bang (played by Hong Wan-pyo), went out drinking together, and Lee Yeon-ju misunderstood that he was on Park Je-soo's side, and the emotional rift deepened. At a drinking party, Kang Han-su provoked Park Je-su by saying, “I saw Myungwol secretly meeting with an outside branch of Madam’s house.” Park Je-su went to Myeongwol that way and strangled her to death. Park Je-soo disguised Myeong-wol's death as suicide, and Kang Han-soo was filled with anger at the same method he had treated his mother in the past.
Master Jejo, who learned of Myeongwol's death, did as Kang Han-su said and shackled himself, injuring his own feet. Lee Yeon-ju realized that Kang Han-soo's methods were not wrong and decided to change Kang Han-soo's mind. However, a critical moment came when Jo Dae-bang, who had always suspected Kang Han-su, tied him up in the middle of the Han River. Lee Yeon-ju sent a sky lantern in the hope that Kang Han-su would return safely, and Kang Han-su, who was about to give up Songsa, saw that and strengthened his will to survive.
The situation reached its extreme as Kang Han-su, who jumped into the Han River, was unable to use his strength and sank deep. At this time, Lee Yeon-ju found Kang Han-su who had fallen into the Han River and dramatically rescued him. A strange atmosphere flowed, such as wiping away tears when seeing Kang Han-soo safe, doubling the interest. Kang Han-soo also said, “Now can you believe that I am sincere?” Lee Yeon-ju laughed and said, “What a relief.” Afterwards, the lawsuit between Park Je-su and Jo Je-soo began under the presiding of Yu Ji-seon Pan, who would decide on the lawsuit. Kang Han-soo, who became a mess in front of Ji-seon, who was in charge of the lawsuit according to his beliefs, struggled to fight back.
The twist did not end here. Myeongwol, who was thought to have been strangled to death by Park Je-soo, appeared and revealed the whole truth about him. In the end, Songsa won the case, and all of this was made possible by Kang Han-soo's preparedness plan, which foresaw that Myeongwol would be in danger, and Lee Yeon-ju's sincerity, which moved her heart. Park Je-soo, who was imprisoned in prison, was hanged to death just like Kang Han-su's mother had done, and Han-su looked at him meaningfully and repeated, "It happened as I wanted."
