Kim Young-kwang “Awakened by criticism of ‘Why are the corners of your mouth turned up?’”

Kim Young-kwang revealed that he controlled his emotions while filming Disney+'s 'Say It's Love'.

On the 10th, I met actor Kim Young-kwang, who appeared in Disney+'s 'Say It's Love', at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul. Kim Young-kwang played the role of Han Dong-jin, who felt loneliness was natural and was accustomed to enduring and enduring it.

Kim Young-kwang said, "It can be said that it is a different method from existing romances. In some ways, it is a challenge. When I first saw this script, I thought it would be fun and had confidence in Dong-jin. I thought I could get as close to this character as possible." said. He continued, “I thought that this person would not speak easily, that he was patient, that he was deep in thought, and that he knew how to live for others, so I thought that would be the charm of this character.”

Kim Young-kwang portrayed the character of Dong-jin as a person who has become numb to old pain. He said, "At the beginning of the play, I thought he was a person who had become numb and detached from old loneliness and pain. I set him as a person who became indifferent to external stimuli or the actions of others, and was afraid of someone approaching me, and I was as restrained as possible when acting." . He continued, "I tried not to react when someone spoke to me, and I tried to appear as a person who could hear everything with my ears but did not show my emotions as much as possible. I thought that if I went any deeper, it would hurt, so I controlled my emotions. I thought it would be complex."

Kim Young-kwang is said to have refrained from hanging out with the actors on set in order to immerse himself in the character. When asked if it was difficult to be separated, Kim Young-kwang said, "I felt it this time, but it was more comfortable to be quiet." He added, "We were laughing and talking, and then we started filming, and the director asked, 'Why is the corner of Dong-jin's mouth turned up?' He said, “I tried to prevent that.” When asked if his usual personality had changed, he replied, "I talked less. During this filming, even though I wanted to talk, I didn't do much. I said, let's endure it like Dongjin, let's endure it well."
