On this day, New Genes member Hyein said about her thoughts on appearing on 'News 9', "I remember watching the news in the living room with my family when I was young. It was so amazing. When we came in, I was like, 'Why am I there?' “It was amazing,” he said. Minji said, "This is my first time seeing news that feels like a conversation like this. It's awkward, but I think it'll be fun."
Regarding the most memorable thing about this summer, Hani answered, "I had a fan meeting for the first time, and went overseas to participate in a festival and perform on stage. It was such a precious memory that I think it would be something that comes to mind this summer." Regarding the song that overseas fans are responding to, Daniel said, "I think it's 'Super Shy'. This album's title song 'Super Shy' is liked a lot by people overseas. The audience also enjoyed it at Lollapalooza. We have fun dancing together. “I was moved when I saw it,” he explained.
New Jeans not only swept the Korean music charts, but also entered the UK and US charts. Regarding this, Minji said, "When I first saw the members, I thought that we would do something really cool together someday. But I honestly didn't expect that we would receive so much attention and love so quickly." Daniel added, "Personally, I don't feel it. However, I always feel that we are receiving a lot of love from many fans who listen to our music and see us when we perform. I am very grateful."
There was even a saying, ‘The whole world is New Jeans.’ Regarding this, Minji said, "I think New Jeans' speciality and strength is our naturalness. I think our unadorned and honest charm, even outside of the stage, makes us new and special." Hyein said, "We don't have a leader. Ever since I was a trainee, I've been able to share each member's thoughts and opinions in certain situations without worrying about each other, so I think that's great."
Minji said, "Personally, I like making eye contact with the fans on stage. I can feel that both the fans and we are actually enjoying the scene. If we can hold a solo performance quickly, I would like to meet the audience. I would like to do an offline stage. “I think I like it more,” he said.
