Seong Si-kyung “It won’t be a huge hit like ‘The Dessert’ or ‘The Glory’”

Seong Si-kyung revealed that he usually likes cake.

On the 24th, a press conference for the TV entertainment show 'The Dessert' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Hangang-ro-dong, Seoul. PD Kim Na-hyeon, PD Jeong Jong-chan and MC Sung Si-kyung attended.

Seong Si-kyung even obtained a pastry chef's license with his usual high-level baking skills. While operating a YouTube channel with 1.33 million subscribers, the mukbang content 'I'll Eat' is especially popular. Sung Si-kyung jokingly said, “Since ‘The Dessert’ is heavy, I asked how about ‘I will bake it.’” He continued, “When I am invited to a program, I think not ‘How much is the appearance fee or how much will it benefit me?’ but ‘Can I do it?’ If you say you have a lot of money, it will be harmful. By chance, I got a pastry qualification, I like eating, and the producer was trustworthy, so I decided to participate. “It was fun to do something that had never been done before, and I thought it was refreshing,” he said, explaining the reason for his appearance. Also, “It may not be able to create a buzz like ‘The Glory’, but I think it would be great if this kind of project can create a sensation in a similar market. The two PDs were worried and said, ‘Don’t worry. He said, ‘It’s not going to be a big hit.’ “I had fun,” he said with a laugh.

When asked about his favorite dessert, Seong Si-kyung said, “I ate blueberry cheesecake after drinking yesterday, and it was so delicious. I like desserts that make me think ‘I’m ruined’ the moment I eat them. Goes well with whiskey. Cheesecake seems dangerous. Because it has acidity, it seems to go better with alcohol. “I think it’s over 2000 kcal,” he said with a laugh.

'The Dessert' is Korea's first dessert survival reality show where 10 dessert chefs camp together for 10 days and 9 nights. It will be released on TV on the 26th.
